Golden Fork Awards - Stumpjack needs you!

Hello friends, musicians, supporters and regulars of Stumpjack Coffee,

While I think that the HTR's "Best of County" contest is a good thing (it's fun and is a good avenue for businesses to promote themselves) I'm not especially excited about the format of it and had not planned on participating in it. However, something different and with a much higher cool factor was presented to me the other night: The Golden Fork Awards.

The GFA have been something that the Fox Cities have done for years now to recognize excellence in dining (it's specific to the dining industry, unlike the local newspaper poll that covers myriad fields). I've always coveted the Golden Fork Award plaques we've seen on display at some of our favorite dining or drinking spots in Green Bay. Unfortunately, Manitowoc County has never been included in the area the GFA cover...UNTIL NOW! This year is the first year that the award territory extends in Manitowoc County, making Stumpjack eligible.

We're asking you to please help us get some recognition by going to this link: http://www.foxcitiesevents.com/2010-golden-fork-ballot and submitting an entry ballot online. The ballot form is exceedingly easy and simple, and takes but a few short minutes (nothing like the long form for the other poll). And you only have to enter what and how many entries that you want to, be it 2 or 20. Just select Manitowoc as the area you're voting for, type in your name and 3 or 4 asterisk (*) info boxes, and then type the names of your favorite dining/drinking places in whatever categories you want to submit. Easy-peasy.

You can enter "Stumpjack Coffee" into any number of pertinent categories, such as:
Best Ambiance
Best Gourmet Pizza
Best Soup/Chili
Best Sandwich
Best Vegetarian Friendly
even Best Cutting Edge Cuisine if you think it fits
(I think we can fairly be considered for each of those categories)

BUT whether you enter Stumpjack into those or not, the two categories I humbly ask that you absolutely enter Stumpjack Coffee in are:
Best Café
Best Cup of Coffee

I filled out several categories with my favorite places (for example, Courthouse Pub got a whole bunch, The Fawn, Machuts, Port Sandy Bay and several other places in other categories)...but again, you only type in the categories you want to...there is no minimum number as I understand it.

It's one entry per person, which means that you can (and please do) urge your spouse, partner, friends to also submit an entry as well. We need tons of votes from people who honestly do like what Stumpjack Coffee does...the place needs your help to win this award.

PLUS, by submitting an entry you get entered into a drawing for a gift certificates from the Golden Fork Awards at various restaurants. But wait, there's more! We're going to add one more incentive of our own to say thanks for your help: After you've submitted your entry of "Stumpjack Coffee" for Best Café and Best Cup of Coffee (and any other categories you think we might honestly merit), email us to let me know and you will be entered into our own drawing for one of those big beautiful gift baskets full of goodies that Kim puts together for the holidays and special events (it's around $80 in value).

Remember, select Manitowoc as the area you're voting in, fill out your name and the other info they want, enter Stumpjack Coffee for sure into the Best Café and Best Cup of Coffee categories, forward to several thousand (or at least a handful) of your pals and your mate and ask them to do the same...then email us so you get entered into the drawing for the big gift basket. Here's the link again: http://www.foxcitiesevents.com/2010-golden-fork-ballot.

Thanks so much for your help.
David
