"...something familiar; something ancient; something raw and gentle; a dichotomy here, a polarity there. The sound of something smooth as skin or glass that ripples like water when touched. Lucidity. Liquid. Does spooning have a sound? How about the color red? ...passionate, melancholy, inquisitive, and confessional."
Last Sunday morning was fun. Koz kept his gear here from his gig the night before and performed a bunch of clarinet tunes for a few hours Sunday morning.

Started making gelato again today for summer: made
blueberry, chocolate, raspberry, mandarin orange.
Yummy!
Tea and Folk Music tonight
Whipped up a special herbal tea blend yesterday, and we're selling it for a song to our tea lovers.
Tonight at 7pm, our talented friends from Milwaukee Matt & Steph Davies are going to be here and they bring the good tunes and fun with them every time. It's going to be a beautiful evening so come on down, have a beer or latte and take a load off for a spell.
TONIGHT: Art and Music
Art Opening: Drawings and works by Steph Davies
7:00pm
Steph's drawings are quite wonderful...delicate, spontaneous and joyful.
Folk Musician Matt Davies
8:00pm
Matt will be providing live music for Steph's art opening. He's a fabulous folk guitarist and songwriter, very much in the spirit of Woodie Guthrie or early Dylan.

Anniversary Party from 9/28/08 - What a blast! We have the greatest friends and customers and supporters ever! Everyone had fun, the wine and tapas bar got off to a great start, took some casually fun video (on our YouTube page now), and Nick Weiland was the absolute perfect musical accompaniment to the party (a number of people used that very word about Nick and his music, "perfect"). I'll have to write a little bit more about the event in a follow-up post tomorrow and go through a few pictures with you, but for now here's the image set.
